urban decay book of shadows: monochrome look

hey everyone, (warning long post :D )

so seen as Ive had a lot of interest in the urban decay book of shadows iv i brought, i thought i would show you how to use it and how to create one of there looks.

so:

when you open it up you get a little card that has qr codes on it and tells you the name of them. what you need to do is download a QR reader on your iphone, blackberry e.c.t, they are generally free, so download a free one see if it works, and if it doesn't choose another one.

when you have that you will need to scan one of the QR codes to your phone, it may take a long time, you have to be very still and i got very angry at one point because it wouldn't read it, when it has scanned it will come up with a video, the video will talk you through how to recreate one of those looks using the colours in the palette.

it is very easy to do and very understandable. its like a step by step guide.
what you need to do is plug in the little speaker that comes with it too your phone, then you can leave your phone on the table, blast it through the speaker so its loud enough to hear.
apparently the usb it comes with is to charge the speaker on your laptop if the battery runs out, but i haven't tried that bit yet.

so the look I'm going to show you is the monochrome one
there website for the monochrome look

first you start off with the urban decay primer potion and apply that with your finger to your eyelid, then using a shadow brush with the shade zephyr, which is a white with a little bit of glitter, and apply it to the brow bone and blend out using a blending brush

next you use the shade midnight cowboy, its a golden light brown with flecks of glitter, and place it right under zephyr.

next with the shadow brush use the shade blue bus, a blue with shades of pink in, and apply it too the outer half of the eyelid and smudge in, you can use your finger after to make the colour more intense, which i suggest, and then use a blending brush to blend into the inner corner.

next using an angled brush or just a smaller one, apply the blue bus underneath the eyes concentrating the colour on the lashes so it gives a fade out effect.

next apply the mascara, the supercurl curling mascara, i think this is amazing! it gives my lashes such a boost and makes them look loads longer, its a really intense black as well and gives a nice finishing look.

and that's it, its very simple you only need 3 colours, but as in the video it says you can change the colours and use the green shadow or a black or anything like that, it suits every eye colour as well and makes them stand out and look bigger.

sorry about the eyebrows they need doing :D, but tell me what you think, is it a good idea, is it just too simple or have UD got it right?

SEE YOU SOON X
