beauty and hair show uk

hair everyone :D

i posted on twitter yesterday that i was going to the hair and beauty show uk, that is held every year in the nec birmingham.
the only draw back to this is that it is only for professionals, so you have to prove that you do hair and beauty, with a certificate or something.

i was soo excited to goo!, i spent all week going eeeeee lol
it is held on a sunday and monday

so its on today still till about 5pm, but you would have to pay £10 to get in if you wanted.

the great thing about it, is that it is free, all you have to do is sign up online and the ticket will arrive through your door about 2 weeks before the show, you can take non beauty friends or family with you aswell if you want, you just add then to your ticket under non-professonal :D.
so i went yesterday, we live about 1 and a half hours away from birmingham so the show starts at 10, we got there for about 10:30. i dragged my boyfriend with me because i didn't want to go on my own.

it was very busy, there were sooo many people, basically there is so many you can just walk with them if you havent got a clue where your going, like us, just follow the swarm of people, they will get you there.
people turn up in waves, you it was easy to get in, there is a big archway with 2 people standing under it, you just show them you ticket, they scan it and your in.
when you walk in another 2 people scan you ticket, again, i don't know why.

it is massive!, and i mean massive, if you know the nec at all, it basically took up 2 halls.

(the poor attempt to cover my last name)

there were sooo many brands there, o.p.i, essie, china glaze, dermalogica, konad nail stamping, fly girls.
just to name a few

there was everything you could of imagined,
hair extensions, scissors, travel cases, brushes, nail polish, skin care, men care, beds, herbal remedies, massages, chill out music, people to make your own app.

there was loads, i wish i had more money (i stupidly went there without any money)
i managed to buy some brushes, in a roll brush set

they were only £4.95 for a whole brush set, now i dont know the quality of them yet, but they are only for me so i didnt need to splash out on them, but they feel nice and soft and the bristles haven't fallen out yet.

there was even a stand with 2 chocolate fountains, one with white chocolate and one with milk, and you could have marshmellows with them, i wasn't going to say no to that.
yum!

next year i wil be more prepared, with money!, and i will surgest that you go at a quieter time, dont go at 10am when it all starts because there was way to many people, it quietened down at about 12 and when we left, at about 1, there was no one queueing to enter, which is cool.
what we didn't realise is it was £8.00 for parking, omgawd!! that is reduculious, how can you justify spending £8.00 on parking, we had to caz otherwise we couldn't get out, but come on!!!

anyway, sorry for my little rant,
after that we went to ikea, because you know, why not?
my and my boyfriend love homey things, and we always look at stuff we need and how much it is and things like that :D

we only brought a little bit, well he paid lol

we brought an humongous candle, which is unscented (it was £7.49)

some glasses (which were 49p each) and a green apple candle (which was 1.49)

and some unscented candles, in a pack of 4 to go in some little glasses we have (they were £4.59 i think)

so yeah, i had an amazing day, i really wished i could have brought some essie and o.p.i but oh well ill be more prepared next year.

did you go? what did you buy? xxx
